Shunkan | Aomori, Tokyo | 2023
"Shunkan" (瞬間) : A Japanese word translated to a "moment" or "instant". It refers to a brief, fleeting moment in time that can hold significant meaning or impact. In the context of this future workplace design, "Shunkan" refers to surpassing the traditional notions of a physical work space to become  a multifaceted hub that serves as a gateway to cultivate exchange of culture, nurture relationships, and foster chance serendipitous encounters.
Marine Rescue Centre | Auckland, New Zealand | 2021
A façade redesign for the Marine Rescue Centre in Mechanics Bay, a  major shipping port in Auckland, New Zealand. The new design  embellishes both its existing function and the significant cultural value of the site as the waka-landing site of Maori prior to their settlement.

Domestication is a negotiation between addition, subtraction, maintenance, making-do, and leaving alone. A slow process that unfolds over a long period. It considers what has been manipulated, removed and introduced and what is yet to come. Simultaneously, it aims to maintain its intrinsic qualities that continue to linger to some capacity.
